New Year = Reflection + Change

This new year is dedicated to reorganization and change. I am reviewing everything in my life to make it more effecient and effective. I am consolidating from three corporations down to one, changing my accountant ( It is important to have good advisors), consolidating all hairstylists to one salon (which will be remodeled and expanded), creating a distribution center and boutique for my web business. And Finally Focusing on Execution, making sure everyone has a great experience in the Peter Louis Salon. These are my goals for the new year!

After meeting Dr. Masaru Emoto, I decided to create some new products using his philosophy that beautiful words create beautiful life. Hence the birth of I Love You shampoo and Kiss Me deep conditioner!

Today I met and attended an interesting class by internationally known researcher Dr. Masaru Emoto. He has challenged prevailing ideas of illness with his book The Hidden Messages in Water, which demonstrated that molecules of water are affected by thoughts, words, and feelings, and that water contains extraordinary therapeutic powers unrecognized by Western medicine. In his new book The Secret Life of Water, he takes that research one step further by exploring the healing power of water - for example, the curative capabilities of water, the capability of prayer to change water, the response of water to music, and how an individual can promote the purity of rainwater. He explores the limitations of Western medicine and explains how many conditions that are thought of as hereditary may not necessarily be so. Rome

Rome was amazing; I walked the entire city in two days! The Sistine chapel is beautiful.

San Gimignano

San Gimignano is probably the most famous small town in Italy, and there are few places that evoke the atmosphere of mediaeval Tuscany so powerfully. The view from the tower is amazing:-)

IL Palio Siena, Italy

On the train ride to Florence, I met a nice couple who told me to go see Il Palio. To actually see Il Palio you have to get to the Piazza early, bring plenty of water and claim your spot! I had a great spot and spent several hours working on my tan and relaxing waiting for IL Palio.

Lugano, Switzerland

Lugano is a city in south-east Switzerland, in the Italian speaking canton of Ticino, which borders Italy. The city has a distinctively Italian character. This is the view from my room.

Lucerne, Switzerland

On my way to Italy, I spent the day in Lucerne and the evening in Lugano. Lucerne lies at the mountainous heart of Switzerland and is situated on the banks of the massive lake which shares its name. I wish I could have spent more time here.

Zurich Street Parade 2006

Today, I had a great time at the biggest party in the world in Zurich, Switzerland. In the morning the city is quite and clean; by noon the city is packed with a high energy crowd of about 800,000 people some of whom are dressed in sexy costumes, dancing to the music coming from the 30 floats in the parade and the three stages; by the evening the streets are filled with empty cans and bottles. The next day the city is sparkling clean. Enjoy the clip!

Hanseatic Town of Visby on the isle of Gotland, Sweden

Today I attended a Medieval festival in Visby, it goes on for the whole week. Everyone really gets into the Medieval lifestyle. There are jousts, blacksmiths working, real hand made knight armour for sale, jewlery makers, bakers, beggers, archery and log throwing contests. 

Stockholm, Sweden

 


Stockholm, Sweden is a beautiful place to visit in the summer. Everything is in walking distance. Everyone is nice and they speak english. The city is very safe, organized and fun.

I finally got to meet Elvis, 5 different Elvises! Notice they even have the correct hand gesture. And to cap off the night they had a fun concert by Huey Lewis and the News as the musical guest.

New York City - The party never ends

Life in New York City can be like a party that never ends. There is something going on everynight you just need get to know the right people. After work today, I met up with my friends at Nobu 57 . This restaurant has a great bar scene. During dinner one of my friends showed up and invited us to hangout at the "Rooftop" at Bed. At Bed, he introduced us to some new friends and they invited us to the Pink elephant. At the Pink Elephant, my new friend is a model and the women line up to say hello and he buys a couple of bottles of vodka for everyone. A friend of his shows up and buys a huge bottle of champagne pours drinks for everyone and then drinks out of the bottle himself. It is really entertaining to watch a guy in a suit drink from a magnum bottle of champagne.
In New York City the party ends only when your ready to go home!

In Sausalito we met David Yu Rock Balancing guy and he explained how he balances the different size rocks on top of each other. Sounds like a relaxing way to spend your day:-)

A visit to San Francisco...Napa Valley... Medicino

I have been having fun in San Francisco the past two days learning about real estate. Robert Kiyosaki outlined the cycle of Real Estate.
1. Financial Disturbance - dot bomb, 9-11, war, etc.
2. Expansion of prices - easy credit, greed, huge buyer demand
3. Euphoria - overestimate future returns, no concern for fudamentals,fools rush in
4. Financial Distress - prices reach peak, nothing is cheap, insiders take profit

6. Financial Crisis - panic rules the market, tightening monetary policy

Marshall Sylver had a great Hypnosis show. He explained how to use subconscious reprogramming to achieve greater success in life.

I ran into some old friends at the real estate expo Kate, who had been a waitress at my bothers first restaurant(which was sold), she is now in the shoe shine business with her boyfriend, so I bought a shine to support them and Sean Jacobsen, I have not seen him since he went off to Harvard business school.

I also visited Patrick Evan's salon, We shared thermal reconditioning stories. He owns a nice salon in downtown San Francisco.

I picked up my girlfriend and we drove across the Golden Gate bridge to Sausalito We met the rock balancing guy.
We then drove to the wet yet beautiful Napa Valley. It rained everyday but we still had a great time. We stayed at a bed and breakfast. Had dinner at Mustards, Had lunch and some wine at Auberge du soleil Toured the following wineries Schramsberg vineyard's Robert Mondavi, Dutch Henry. Everyone who served us wine during the tastings would romance the wine look at the wine with their eyes wide open like they were in love. They would salivate and swallow a few times till they could not resist anymore and they would then pour themselves a glass. Then next day We drove to Calistoga, saw the gyser. Then Medicino, nice peaceful place but all the restaurants are closed till dinner. We then drove back to San Franscisco. I will update date this post with pictures and more stories in the near future.
